Davide explains: “The Art of Dreaming is a 1993 book by Carlos Castaneda.
The “looking-at-your-hands”technique of the Yaqui Indian medicine man, don Juan Matus, was an exercise consisting in finding your own hands during a dream. In other words, you had to deliberately dream what you set yourself, find your own hands, and bring them to eye level”.
Marco explains: “Davide, blurred and lost, is trying to find his own hands while dreaming – seeing them clearly would mean the achievement of a perfect state of clarity (the lighthouse). While the female representation is the personification of the whole cosmos and reaching her would correspond to the realization of his own identification – avoiding a relapse into darkness”.
Thanks to the support of Italia Music Export and Italia Music Lab, we had the opportunity to shoot this video on the South Coast of Iceland, including the famed volcanic black pebble beach called Reynisfjara in Vik (legends say the caves were thought to be the work of the dark elves, and mark the entrance to underground passages where the Hidden dwell), and Ölfus, Grindavík, and the magical out-of-time Knarrarós Lighthouse.
